How it works
Remove metadata runs on this page, in browser memory. The file you choose is never sent to a server: it is read through the File API, processed locally and handed back as a download.

What it takes and what it returns
This tool accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, PDF and produces JPG, PNG, WebP, PDF. The work is done by Canvas + pdf-lib.
Real limits
These limits come from what a browser can do safely, not from a paid plan:
- Up to 30 files per batch, 200 MB per file and 500 MB per batch.
What it does not do
Images embedded inside a PDF can keep their own data. The page content itself is not modified.
The image is re-encoded, so a JPG can lose a little quality compared with the original.

Do my files reach a server?
No. Processing happens in browser memory. The network is used only to download the application's libraries, and your file's contents are not part of those requests.
